ON DEMAND Microelectronics (ODM) is a VC-backed fabless semiconductor company founded in Vienna, Austria in 2003 as a spin-out from Analog Devices, Inc. It currently has offices in Silicon Valley and Vienna. The mission of the company from the inception is to provide programmable high performance video and imaging solutions based on the novel and scalable processor architectures.
Delivering a product portfolio of highly optimized processor cores and the associated development environment ODM engages with systems and chip companies targeting automotive applications, surveillance systems and media players. These applications benefit from the combined flexibility of a software based solution with efficient silicon implementation to address the dynamic requirements of low latency standard and high definition video and image post-processing end equipment where the growth of performance, video quality and very short product innovation cycles are achieved simply by firmware upgrades.
